Letter from James King regarding the Hunter Nationals

Hi Noel,

I’m sorry that I am only writing now but this is just a quick note of thanks to all of you guys at DAC for a fantastic weekend of racing (and a few parties). I would especially like to commend Trevor for running an excellent bridge. There where times when setting a course was not easy, yet he got it right every time.

Furthermore it has been a long time since I have visited DAC, suffice to say that your facilities are excellent. I would suggest that many of the yacht clubs in South Africa would do well to check out your ablutions. They certainly are the best I have seen at a yacht club in this country. The new extended balcony from the bar is so much better than sitting on the old window sill with one’s back to the dam and the launching facilities where no problem at all.

Once again thank you and please pass my gratitude on to Trevor and the rest of the team. They made my trip up from Cape Town worth the effort.

Cheers James
